Sign The Petition

ImageThousands have signed the petition to Stony Brook University to encourage them to make the best college hockey program on Long Island a NCAA DI Varsity team. It's not a tough sell because the Seawolves are already a winning program. They have made it to Nationals for 12 straight seasons, brought in key talent from the across the country, and have sent graduating players to the next level. So the time is now! Long Island is a hockey town. We have the Islanders, 4 Junior Hockey Organizations, a dozen Long Island born professional NHL players, and now we need a NCAA Division I college hockey team.

Join the campaign and sign the petition to encourage Stony Brook University to build an ice arena on campus that meets the standards of the NCAA and make the Stony Brook Seawolves Hockey part of the University’s NCAA Division One program.

I encourage Stony Brook University to begin the process of building an ice area on campus that fits the necessary guidelines under the rules of the NCAA to house a Division One Hockey Program. I also encourage the University to begin developments that would lead to the Stony Brook University Hockey Club becoming part of the Athletic Department so we can further develop hockey on Long Island and bring NCAA Division One Hockey to Long Island for now and for future generations.
