Seawolves finish season

After winning their second consecutive ECHA championship the Seawolves headed to their 12th consecutive ACHA National Tournament hosted by University of Delaware. The Seawolves faced off against # 4 ranked Adrian College. The Seawolves kept the game close until the last 6 minutes when Adrian scored three unanswered goals to win the contest 7-2. The next day the Seawolves played their consolation game against SUNY Canton and behind the excellent goaltending on Josh Brand they were able to win the game by a score of 5-3. When coach Garofalo was asked how he felt the season went he said "it was nice to end the season with a win and also win our second ECHA Championship in a row. However it was disappointing to not go further at Nationals. With all the injuries we had this year it was pretty frustrating but I give my guys credit they never quit. We had a great team this year and although one of our top forwards Chris Ryan and top defenseman Peter Zarrella are graduating, I feel we still have a very strong team returning for next year. Chris and Pete were tremendous assets to the program and have really helped the program get to the next level. They will be missed". The Seawolves finished the season with a 23-14 record and ranked 13th in the Nation for the ACHA DI. The team would like to thank all the fans for their support throughout the season and look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
